Compare two PDFs
Compare PDFs shows what changed between two versions of a document. Add the original and the changed version, and you get a page-by-page list of differences: words that were removed in red, words that were added in green, plus a visual overlay that highlights changes in layout, images and signatures that a text comparison would miss.
Changes are summarised at the top — for example 4 pages changed, 1 page added — and each changed page can be opened in a side-by-side view. You can switch between the original, the changed version and the overlay, where everything that didn't change is faded out.
It's made for checking a contract the other side sent back, proofreading the final version of a report, or seeing what was updated in a new edition of terms and conditions. Pages that were added or removed are matched automatically. You can also download a PDF report of all differences to share.
The comparison runs in your browser: neither file is ever uploaded.

Questions and answers
Does it compare scanned PDFs?
Yes, visually. Scanned pages have no text, so they're compared by their pixels, page by page.
Why is a whole paragraph marked as changed?
When text is pushed down a line, the page looks very different. The text view shows the actual word changes.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Both documents are compared on your device.
Can I share the differences?
Yes. Tick Also make a PDF report to download a report with every changed page and its text differences.
How many pages can it handle?
There's no fixed limit, but very long documents take longer, especially on phones.
