Files stay on your device
You scanned a long document — a thesis, a court file, years of bank letters — and ended up with a dozen PDFs in no particular order. Some pages are upside down, some backs are blank, and a page or two got scanned twice. Putting it together by hand means opening every file and dragging pages for an hour.
This page opens Smart Arrange, which does the sorting for you. It reads the printed page numbers, continues numbering across files, uses dates and numbers in file names, recognises double-sided pairs, turns pages upright and marks blank and duplicate pages. You review the suggested order as thumbnails, fix anything it got wrong, and merge.
Scans without any text? Switch on Read page numbers from scans and the numbers are read from the page images.
Everything happens in your browser. Your scans — often the most personal documents you own — are never uploaded.
The options for this task are already set. You can still change them after adding your file. Open the full Smart Arrange tool

Questions and answers
What if my pages have no page numbers?
Smart Arrange then uses other clues, like dates or numbers in file names, chapter numbers and front/back pairs. If nothing helps, it keeps your original order and you can drag pages.
Can it combine photos from my phone?
Turn the photos into a PDF with Scan to PDF first, then arrange the scans here.
How do I check the order is right?
Each page shows why it was placed there, such as printed p.12. Pages it's unsure about are easy to spot.
Are my scans uploaded?
No. Analysis and merging run on your device.
