Crop the margins of a PDF

Crop Margins trims the edges of your PDF pages. Set how many millimetres to cut from the top, right, bottom and left, and choose all pages or only some. It's handy for wide white borders that make text tiny on a phone or e-reader, for removing a scanner's black edge, or for cutting away printer marks.

Millimetres are measured from the edge of the page as it's shown, so 10 mm from the left removes the same strip on every selected page. If your pages have different sizes, check the result: margins that suit a large page may cut too much from a smaller one.

Cropping changes which part of the page is shown; the content isn't redrawn, so text and images keep their full quality. If your margins are bigger than the page, the tool tells you instead of producing an empty page.

All the work happens in your browser, so your document is never uploaded.

Questions and answers

Is cropped content deleted?

It's hidden, not removed: the area outside the crop is no longer shown or printed. To permanently remove sensitive content, use Redact PDF.

Can I crop only some pages?

Yes. Enter the pages to crop, like 1-3 or all.

Does cropping reduce quality?

No. The page content isn't re-rendered, so it stays sharp.

Is my file uploaded?

No, cropping runs on your device.

How do I change the paper size instead?

Use Resize Pages to put pages on A4, Letter and other sizes.
